The new sortableRows() method is just what I need and works fine. Now I need help on how to restore the mouse-sorted rows in the same sequence the next time the grid is used? I store the sequence of row IDs as a comma delimited list in the database each time the user moves a row (using onUpdate event).
The next time the user accesses that grid what is the best way for restoring the row items into that sequence?
If there isn't one, could someone sketch out the best way to populate the jqgrid "manually" using the saved sortableRows() row item sequence?
Does anyone know of any examples that address this?
