I have a form where one of the elements is a jqGrid, where the user can edit a bunch of stuff. I'd like to submit the state of the table in a parameter of the form: for example, convert it to json and just send it through in a text string.
One way i can think of is that i have a hidden text_area field, and whenever the form changes i write the current state of it into the value of the text_area. (somehow). This seems pretty clumsy though. Does anyone have any better ideas?
thanks

I do not think that this is clumsy. Another possible solution is to use GridToForm method in hidden form, but actually this is the same that you do.
