input box to requery db

I have a grid that is populated with a query from a mysql table. I am using a date to get all items that are a number of days old. I would like the number of days since the date to be an input box I can change and requery the data into the grid. How can I do this. Do you have an example ?

If I understand right you can use cell edit to do this.
