My jqGrid (version 4.4.4) is not grouping based on field I specify, but is instead repeating fields.

Here is my json data derived from a php-mysql page:

{"rows":[{"domain":"example.com","email":"admin@example.com"},{"domain":"example1.com","email":"dave@example1.com"},{"domain":"example.com","email":"dave@example.com"},{"domain":"example2.com","email":"admin@example2.com"},{"domain":"example2.com","email":"dave@example2.com"}]}

Here is my jqGrid code:

<script type="text/javascript">

jQuery("#domains").jqGrid({

url:'getDomains.php',

datatype: "json",

  height: 'auto',

rowNum: 10,

rowList: [10,20,30],

colNames:['Virtual Domains', 'User'],

colModel:[{name:'domain', index:'domain', width:200},{name:'email', width:200}],

pager: '#domains_div',

sortname: 'domain',

viewrecords: true,

grouping:true,

groupingView : {groupField : ['domain'],groupOrder: ['asc']},

jsonReader : {repeatitems: false },

});

jQuery("#domains").jqGrid('navGrid','#domains_div',{add:false,edit:false,del:false});

 </script>

So I would expect the grouping to be:

Instead, I get 5 entries into the grid:

Any suggestions? One other note, if I take out the

jsonReader : {repeatitems: false },

The grid never loads completely, but sits at "Loading".

Thanks!

Hello,

As from the last version you will need to return the grouped data sorted in appropriate manner.

everthing on this is described in the docs - you will need just to read it.

Kind Regards
