I am using a grid which is within a modal dialog.  I am using formedit to add, delete, or edit a row to the grid I raised the z-index to 1005 before the edit dialog pops up, but the input text fields are disabled. I have a select/option list on the same forum which works correctly.  The "Submit" and "Cancel" buttons work correctly as well.

I am using jqgrid 3.4.3, but I have tried 3.6.2 with the same results.

I've done a search in the forums and found no similar problem.  Any thoughts on what I can do with this.  Thanks for your time in helping me.

Tony, great plug-in.   Thanks for your hard work on this.

Best Regards,

Gary

Hello,

Thanks.

Sorry, but I do not understand the problem. As of your post you tell me that everething work correct. What does not work?

What you try to do?

In which browser is this?

Is there a code?

Best Regards

Tony

Tony,

Sorry for the confusion.  I should have been more specific.

In a modal dialog, I have a jqgrid list.  To add/edit/ a row I have an editgridrow form which has <input type="text"> fields which are disabled, that is, I cannot change the values in those field.  If I remove modality from the parent dialog the fields are editable.  The browser is FF 3.5.6.  It works correctly in IE and Safari, and Chrome but my client is a FF user so I need to get this working in FF. When I made the original post I had not tested under these other browsers.

While this does not appear to be a jqgrid problem, it does suggest that there is some disconnect between your plugin and FF.  I'll research this in more detail.  If I find anything I will post it here.  In the meantime, thanks for the reply.

Hi Gary,

I have the very similar! I happen to set the zIndex on the modal(the one contains jqgrid) to 800, but the text input is disabled in both IE and firefox!!?? Do you happen to find any solution or work around to this problem?

Hello,

Gary - IMHO there is something that brakes this. In order to izolate the problem just try with jqGird jQuery and jQuery UI files and css and remove any other CSS files

Best Regards

Tony
