Editing with checkboxes that uses html within the cell

Currently I have this:

"<cell><label style=\\"color:Green;\\">Yes</cell>"

A "Yes" is colored green. A "No" is colored red.

The problem I have is when editing this with checkboxes.

What's needed here:

edittype: "checkbox", editoptions: { value: "______:No"}

for it to recognize that this should be checked? Is it possible?

Another question,

Some of my column heading title gets cut off when the grid is displayed. I wanted a more flexible heading titles. In other words, I want its text to wordwrap to the next line when it gets too long. I can't seem to do it.

I thought increasing the height would do it, but the title text seems to be fixed on a single line.

Can this be modified? Possibly in the css file?

For the first one there this will not work, since jqGrid get the content of the cell, but if the cell has childs there is no way to recodnize wich one has the desired data.

For the second question you can manipulate this via css.

But I recomend you to wait for the final 3.2 which will solve the booth

problems. Currently we work hard on documentation.

Tony

Thanks Tony,

I upgraded to final 3.2, and both problems are a thing of the past now.

It must be new in this version, but the rows don't alternate background color anymore by default? Nor can I set -

altRows: true

It doesn't alternate row background.

I'm using xml,

I'm using all of the default themes, none of them alternate. I switched back to 3.1, and it does.

Yeah, the clientSide alternates row colors.

XML doesn't.

Tony,

I went and checked the examples here too.

If you go to Loading Data/XML Data and use the coffee theme, you'll clearly see that the rows don't alternate background color. Any other datatype, and it does.
