i don't know, it done or not. But in some case we need more than one condition to filtering data, example to find date using between. to find range of some value. Suppose we need find out transaction value greather than 500 and less than 1500. Or we need find out a new members apply from 2008-01-01 till 2008-01-15.

that's just only my idea, : )

big thanks to tonny

I think jqgrid setGridParam gives you that option already.

What I did was make a separate form, give it 2 variables for the between instances, and give it a different url to goto for that case.

What I would love to see is multi-column sorting.  If there is a tie when you sort a column, it would be nice to have a “Then by” sorting option.

For instance, I would press down the shift key and click one column title after another.  It would be nice if the grid remember the order in which the column title are clicked, so that on the server side I would sort them up accordingly.

Hi son122,

I know this doesn't work in all instances but I include more fields than just the one selected in jqGrid when I sort my cursor: so for example, if someone clicks on lastname, then I sort on lastname + firstname, etc.

That takes care of most of the instances I have for multi-column sorting -- but perhaps you can give an example were you can't pre-guess what the opeartator will want to sort on?

Thanks

Reg

Another possible solution is to use postData array, but for this reason we shoild define some events in searchGrid method. I will try to include some in the next release.
