navigation key is not working in jqgrid

My grid is perfectly working with the keys I used for navigation using the following line


 if(key ==9|| key==39)// tab,next{
  $("#grid").jqGrid('editCell',(selIRow+1),5,true));}

But it is not working when grouping is enabled in jqgrid. Please help me to achieve this.
