JQgrid wont hit code behind

Frown Frown i have made a grid which uses form editing and provided a edit URL as in the code in the link.

the grid wont hit the code behind. i am new with jqgrid and programming so detailed explaination is expected

Following is the code behind for the editUrl

<System.Web.Services.WebMethod()> Public Shared Function EditUser1(ByVal First_Name As String, ByVal Middle_Name As String, ByVal Rights As String, Contact_no As String, ByVal Account_status As String, ByVal oper As String, ByVal id As String) As Object

the function wont return anything right now, but i had a break point inserted there and the control wont reach there..

The grid would successfully fetch data and display it, as of now the grid wont edit any data.
