Datasource containing Boolean field cannot be filtered by "true" or "false"

Using 3.8.2 version of JQuery Grid

Datasource is MYSQL TinyInt column, with values of 0 or 1

Grid shows cell values of "true" | "false" , depending on the value from the table

Filter field at boolean column will work if you enter 0 or 1, but not "true" or "false"

Shouldn't they be consistent?

Here's the JSON from Firebug - note the

"false,0,true,"

Those are the two boolean fields with a numeric in between

This is rails 2.3.8 with MySQL. If i run SQL on the IRB (console) command line , asking for active = 0 or active = false,
false is returned for both. With 1 or true, I see true returned.

When the search tries to filter the records, 0 entry returns false records , but false returns no records

Hope more details help to find the answer

BAH another plugin was the problem, not jqgrid 🙁
