OK here is an example:
jQuery('#list').jqGrid({
// ...
}).navGrid('#pager',{ search: false },
{ mtype: "PUT",
onclickSubmit: function(rp_ge, postdata) {
rp_ge.url = urlEdit + '/' + postdata.id;
}
});
In this example I define, that I will use form edit, but use a RESTful service to send modified data. Instead of HTTP "POST" request will be used HTTP "PUT" and the URL will be appended with '/' and id of editing row.

No I mean what I wrote. The function navGrid has some parameters
jQuery("#grid_id").jqGrid('navGrid','#gridpager',{parameters},prmEdit, prmAdd, prmDel, prmSearch, prmView);
(see /jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:navigator). Every from the parameters like prmEdit will be forwarded to for example to editGridRow method if you click on the edit button of the navigator (see /jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:form_editing#editgridrow). So if you want to use onclickSubmit for form editing you can use it like I showed it in the previous example.
