Hi

JQgrid plug in has been of great help to us in our project . Significantly reduces development and has increased ease of maintenance.

I have done the following  :

I have a jqGrid placed inside a table  <td> .

I have specifiec the width of the td element.

I have set autowidth and shrinkToFit property of my jQgrid to true.

I have not specified any value for the width property of the jQgrid and my columns .

I have only three columns to be shown inside this grid .

What i expect to happen ?

JQ Grid should autamatically take the width of the td .

Columns should proportionaltely expand

But this is what i get : (columnn header and content are not aligned)

I dont know how to attach screenshot image from my local.

Please help.

Hi Tony ,

Thanks for your support.

We also did a bit of troubleshooting from our side and arrived at a fix .

The code was like this

<table>

<tr align="centre">

<td>

JQGrid code here

</td>

</tr>

<table>

We removed the align = 'center' from the tr and this issue got fixed .

The issue seemed to have because the table header had expanded but the table columns width was fixed and was centre aligned within the table .

Thank you for the help!
