I'm wanting to insert some jqGrid instances with checkboxes inside larger forms and when the form is submitted, have all the form elements including the jqGrid checkboxes sent.

At the moment I have the form and the jqGrid working, but when I submit the form it doesn't post any of the selected checkboxes from within the jqGrid. It just posts the other form elements outside jqGrid.

Is this possible? Or am I just missing something really simple?

Hello,

I really do not understand. Do you use form edit module from jqGrid or your own form

Please explain clear. Which version do you use

Regards

Tony

Hi Tony,

I have a form for editing content within my site. Lets say as an example it is for a department within a store. This has fields such as 'title', 'description', 'location', etc which are specific to that department.

I also have another table of elements for the staff within the organisation.

What I would like to achieve is to place the staff references within a jqGrid, which is inside the department edit form. Each staff member reference within the jqGrid would have a checkbox that would indicate if they work in that department or not.

So when the department form is submitted, what I would like is the jqGrid details to also be sent so the checkboxes can be processed along with the department-specific fields.

I'm using version 3.5.3 of jqGrid.

Hello,

If I understand right - you can use the available events in form editing and extend the posted data to the server.
