Thanks for making and maintaining this very useful product.
I'm a newb to this product, and I read the documentation on the site, but I have a 2 questions:
1. Is it possible to not display the header row? (the row with all the colNames)
2. My captions arent showing up, is there a newb mistake I could be making?

I was able to use some jquery to hide the header record by injecting an element with a special id in the header, and my captions were merely styled the same color as the background.

(If I understand right)
$(".ui-jqgrid-htable tr:first","#gview_"+mygridid).hide();
where the mygridid is the grid it.
