Hi,

I have read about Simple Search functionality, but I believe I need something even more simpler.

BAsically, I want to have ONE text field that a user can enters text in; the server know what fields to be filtered in the grid (using OR), making a search very simple for a user...

For instance, if we have a grid of addresses containing street and city, the server will know to search for "New York" in both the street and city field...  Is there a way in which we can achieve this?

Hello,

Maybe you will need to construct your own search .

Look into the demo – Advanced => Search Big Data

Tony

For professional UI suites for Java Script and PHP visit us at our commercial products site - guriddo.net - by the very same guys that created jqGrid.
