jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hiya,

I want to left align my header labels and leave some space between the column line and the header label, so I used this:

  jQuery("#list").jqGrid('setLabel', 'name', 'Name', {'text-align':'left', 'padding-left':'5px'});

However, now all the column headers after the 'Name' one do not line up. The only fix I have found is to use a   like this    

  jQuery("#list").jqGrid('setLabel', 'name', ' Name', {'text-align':'left'});

I would prefer to use the padding-left option if possible.  Any ideas how I can correct this?
