Hi,

I am using the Set Columns plugin to enable Show/Hide of columns. Is there a way to make the whole screen (rather than just my table) become dark-coloured when the dialog is popped-up,  so that it behaves like a standard jquery UI modal dialog? (as per http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/#modal). This would allow more consistent interface behaviour across my site.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the quick reply, but I must be missing something on the page you reference.

I do not want to use jqModal as the rest of my site will use the standard jQuery UI dialogs. But I think the problem is that the 'modal' parameter "does not have effect if jqModal is false".

When I use the ShowColumns dialog only the table grid is blacked out, but the standard jQuery UI look-and-feel is for the whole screen to be blacked out except for the dialog that has been popped up. I was hoping there might be a workaround to acheive this effect.

If this is not possible just now, could the default behaviour for jqGrid dialogs be changed to mimic jQuery UI default behaviour in the next release?

Hello,

I suppose no. We do not support jQuery UI dialog. Also if the jqModal is not used we cover only the grid using a CSS from jQuery UI.

Best Regards

Tony
