jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

DB and client jqGrid

on large number of records, 

I want to send to jqGrid just the Visible records on client jqQuery, means:

if visible 10 rows I want to send only 10 rows ,

and on button's( and/or keyboard) navigations I want to send the additional new rows,

by removing the previous visible.

so :

1. how I 'tell' jqGrid that actual records are let say 100,000 records

 2. I locate on row 1,001 (but on client it's on row=9 let say)

2. the thumb gives the 'real' count+locate of 1,001 from 100,000 records

is it possible, to handle the server and client synchronize, to show 'real' records count but actually giving only

the visible count ?
