Hi,
Oracle doesn't like the _search parameter, it si a reserver symbol and cannot be used for parameter names.
This means I cant use jqgrids search and paging features.
Is there a way to either rename _search to p_search or remove the _search parameter completly?
Many thanks

Hello,
Our PHP component wich work with Oracle does not have a problem with this.
Instead this is possible and you can configure all the posted values to the server.
For this purpose you will need to use prmNames parameter
http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....ki:options
prmNames : {search:"myOracleSearch"}

Thanks Tony, just what i needed.
I'm writing javascript directly against the Oracle server ORADB service (like REST web services), so I am in effect bypassing the middle man (PHP) and querying directly against the Oracle database tables and procedures.
In this case my src is an oracle package that cant accept _parameters, so this gets round it nicely.
many thanks
Mark
