jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hello.  I've posted a message on StackOverflow and Oleg has done just about everything he can to help me.  But I'm still having issues.  My problem is that if I click the nav reload grid button or select to display 10 records instead of 5, the original data is reloaded into the grid.  Even after I succesfully edit the data. 

For example, I load the data and everything looks good.  I edit the row, change a value and save my changes.  The database is successfully updated and the value in the grid/cell looks fine.  I can edit another row and do the same thing.  Once I click reload grid or change the page size, the original values are displayed back in the grid. 

For some reason, my values aren't being updated in the data behind the grid. 

Any tips or areas to look at would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much.
