Hi

I have JQGrid working in comjunction with a Java J2EE application. I am now trying to tie the server side to the paging process, meaning, I want to be able to get to page 2,3 and so on. If the query returns N records, I am claculating the number of pages and insert the Records and Total elements into the XML.

a. Is it important where (beginning or end of the XML) these elements are placed?

b. What else to I need to do to tie the paging process to the Pager controls?

Regards

Elan

Hello Elan,

a. There is no requierment where these elements should be preset. But it is important that you have correct description in the xmlReader and these elements are present in the xml.

More Information you can find here:

b. See the link in a.

Best Regards

Tony

OK, I kept it consistent.

The   **  records : "rows>records" **   means that "rows" is the parent of "records", but "rows" does not have to be the root, correct?

Nothing happens when I click the arrows for more pages, how does this work?

Hello,

Do you use static xml file or dynamic generated from server.

In the second case you will need to accept parameters posted from jqGrid and do the appropriate quiery.

If you are in the first case nothing will happen.
