I am using client-side sorting and am losing the currently selected row's "highlight" when any column header is clicked to sort the data. I can manage this programmatically if I can identify an event that executes immediately following a client-side sort, but I have so far been unable to find such an event. Can anyone help?

Thank you -- if that works, it will be a perfect solution.
However, the version of the jqGrid that I am using predates this feature. What was the default behavior prior to the introduction of the deselectAfterSort property? Were there any workarounds?
If I must upgrade, I must upgrade; but this application was very close to moving to production, so an upgrade would delay that due to testing requirements...
