Hello, I'm new to jqgrid and jquery, I have a multi-page grid. I set the rows to sortable, and all that works great. The problem comes if I sort rows on page 1, and move to page two, then return to page 1 the rows are no longer sorted. Is there a way to maintain that sort order?

Hello,
Of course this is the right situation. Every time you are back to page 1 the page is reloaded with the grid again.
Maybe you will need to use cookie. Search this forum an you will find a solution
