Hi there,

I have made a div that contains a jqGrid inside it a fixed height.  If there is more content than the height then I have an 'overflow: scroll' type property that will add a vertical scrollbar to the div.  I have this working fine in FF and in IE.

However, for divs that contain a jqGrid, the grid remains stationary whilst the other content is scroll-able.

This is the problem:

I am not sure what the problem is and was hoping if someone could offer some advice.

Please let me know if you require further information to help solve this problem.

Many thanks in advance

Hello,

This especially is not a jqGrid problem. Suppose you will have other content (not a jqGrid one)  – the problem will the same.

Also the most common problem in IE6 – the select elements in IE6 are "top level elements" and insted that you have higher z-index of jqGrid div – the selects will be before the grid.

There are a couple of solutions for this in the web – you will need maybe to google

"ie6 select z-index"

or something similar

Regards

Tony

Hi Tony,

Many thanks for your response.  Unfortunately I do not fully understand what you mean as I  am not using the <select> element in the jqGrid.

Even if I were to raise the z-index level of the jqGrid so that it appeared infront of the other form fields, the grid itself does not move when I use the scrollbar to move the content up / down.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Hello,

You do not use select elements in grid, but in your html document, and when the grid is over these elements, instead that the grid have a higger z-index the selects will be over the grid in IE6.
