Hi,
First of all, thanks for you great jQuery plugin, it's awesome!
And now my problem: I am using jq-grid with data returned by the server in JSON format.
I would like to display in a separate point in the we page the number of rows returned. How do I do it? I guess there must be some JavaScript I can use to get this.
Also, I would like to be able to access directly the JSON data, i.e. properties like these: root, page, total, records, repeatedItems... and so on.
Thank you in advance.

You can get the "records" via getGridParam.
Use the loadComplete-Property to get the number of records after the request like this:
jQuery('#mygrid').jqGrid({ ... loadComplete:function(){ var returnedrecords = $('#mygrid').getGridParam('records'); alert(returnedrecords); // do someting with the var } ... });
For this to work, you must provide "records" in your server-side backend.
