Multiple open cells for editing

With inline editing it is possible to click quickly and get multiple cells open for editing. This is especially the case when a cell has a dataURL call to load in data which causes a delay in the cell becoming in focus, when you click out on another cell you now have two cells open.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening so that only 1 cell can be open for editing at a time?

Hello,

I'm not sure what you use - inline editing or cell editing - there is a difference.

Anyway you can set async:false for the dataUrl - this is done with ajaxSelectOptions

This can be set in the grid options

Best Regards

Tony:

Sorry, I need to make sure I have it straight going forward. I am using CellEdit. So a user can click a single cell at a time to switch it to the edit mode and make their changes and press enter, click to another cell to Save. After each save an ajax call is made and the new value is sent and saved in my DB.

The issue is if I have a click happy user who clicks around, they can open up multiple cells for editing. This is not a functionality bug, as the user can always click back on the already opened cells and make their changes and save them.

Hello,

Thanks for this. It seems reasonable to add  a such functionality - (it is missing only in cell editing when I see the code)  I will think on this.

Best Regards

Tony
