Jqgrid with button "add"

Hi! In the link <http://trirand.com/jqgrid/jqgr.....ml>, in "Live Data Manipulation", subtopic "Add row", the javascript code is for edit buttons and not for add button. I try use that javascript code but not happend. You have a example? Thanks!

When you click the Add Button, and edit a record, it will correctly add to the grid.

Checking the docs for the Add method :

jQuery("#grid_id").addGridRow( "new", options );
The options are the same as those in Edit row.

So you can safely check the edit sample..

Ok, I using:

function add()
    {
    var gr = jQuery("#grid").addGridRow("new");
    if( gr != null )
        jQuery("#grid").editGridRow(gr,{height:220,reloadAfterSubmit:false});
    else
        alert("Select a row!");
    }

and "addGridRow", in Mozilla Debugger show the message:

jQuery("#grid").addGridRow("new") is not a function. Why?

Taken from the sample:

$("#badata").click(function(){
jQuery("#addgrid").editGridRow("new", {height:280,reloadAfterSubmit:false});
});

Also I think jQuery(#grid").addGridRow("new") needs the "options" parameter

I need to add a new empty row on top of the grid, but I cannot find the addGridRow method anymore. Was it replaced by something else?
