Does jqGrid require installation of all source files, or is this for development mode only (does minified source contain all the other modules)
Is this all that is required....
<script src="lib/i18n/grid.locale-en.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="lib/jquery.jqGrid.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Or are the rest of the files in the /js/ directory required as well (as needed)

Hello,
If you use the 3.8 version you should use the development instalation. There is no min file in this version

Yes, it seems all along my issue was with trying to mix 3.7x and 3.8 features and I didn't even realize it. Once I moved completely to using the development installation, all is groovy (well my subtotals aren't appear but that is a different story - I will attack that now at least I have grouping)
