Hi,

I love using jqGrid but I have a question about the license.

In the 3.5.3 source file, you have the GPL link to GPL v3. There is no license link in ver 3.4.4 source code. On your website, I can saw the following:

http://www.trirand.com/blog/?s=plug

jQuery jqGrid plugin is currently available for use in all personal or commercial projects under either the MIT and GPL licenses. This means that you can choose the license that best suits your project, and use it accordingly.

MIT License
GPL License

The later link points to the GPL v2.

JQuery is under GPL v2.

GPL v3 is more restricted. Basically if I used it and ship my software, I also need to ship the code.

Could you please clarify which GPL license apply to jqGrid (or jqGrid 3.6)?

Thanks,

Kinkoi

Hello,

First of all thenks for pointing this.

jqGrid is GPL v2 licensed. The reason for this is that the home was canged to point to v3, but we do not change the link

Now everthing is OK and corrected.

You can see the result here:

Best Regards

and thanks again

Tony

Hi Guys,

Since we are on the subject of licenses.  If I develop an app with jQUERY/jqGrid which is un GPL v2/3.  This means I have to ship the source as well.  Does this mean that I have to mention that jQUERY/jqGrid or ship the jQUERY/jqGrid source with the app.  What exactly does it mean to "Provide The Source code"  along with my app?

Thanks,
