Hi all,
While it's great that jqgrid automatically creates add/edit forms for you, in some cases i need the add/edit forms need to be more stylized.
Ican set rowpos and colpos on fields to make an editform look a little more organized, it still looks table-ish. I need a jqgrid form that looks better organized, fields that span columns, has field titles on top of the fields, borders around sections and still functions (still connected to the grid) like a standard editform. I tried looking through the jqgrid docs but i'm totally confused about how to go about it. I assume i'll have to great a form outside of jqgrid then import it into jqgrid somehow?
Is there a way in jqgrid to go from this row/col kind of standard edit form:

Really... Is this question taboo or did i not ask the right question?
All i want to know is if jqgrid has the ability through its builtin functions to allow me to customize the look and organization of the standfard add/edit form as posted above or will i have to simply abandon jqgrid when a stylized add/edit form is needed and build the table and form the traditional way in html?
