Hi,
When I try to edit html code in a textarea js crashes if I include tags "table". jqGrid add tbody tags, and an error happens when i call .editRow method (b.p.colModel[d] is undefined).
I know jqGrid isn't a html editor, but users sometimes requires unexpected things. If someone uses jqGrid with html code editing and can help me to solve this prob...

Hello,
Use the latest stable 3.4.4 version.
Then set in the grid options autoencode: true

Hi,
I've been some days far from this...
I wrote my own autoencode function 😛 but I found diferences between FF (and most navigators) and Explorer, if user inputs invalid html code, (closes a not opened <DIV>), FF simply not shows the </div> and the cell content is visible, but explorer doesn't show anything, cellvalue is empty.
I tryed to search how the cell content is validated without find it.
It's a reported feature or i have an x-file ?? XD

Hello,
The content when posted with text area is not validated, but you can add simple validation before submitiong the content using the available events.
