How to use 'mask' with dates?

I'm using a JSON backend that formats dates as '2011-03-03T00:00:00'. I think that jqGrid allows me to use a mask to trim this down to a format that jqGrid understands, but I haven't been able to find any examples of this.

Can anyone help me to figure out how to do this?

Whoops, I figured this out, so I'll post it here to help others:

var colModel = [
   {name: 'date', index: 'date', width: 150, jsonmap: 'date',
   formatter: 'date',
   formatoptions: {srcformat: 'SortableDateTime',
   newformat: 'j M Y - D'} },
   ...
   ];
