How to pass data to or customize the Warning message box?

I am using the FormEdit option on a grid. If you click on the edit icon without selecting a row first, a message/dialog box pops up.
- How can I send additional data to the message/dialog box?
- How can I duplicate the message/dialog box for other events?
- How can I set it's position, if I have multiple grids on a page?
