jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hi

I am using as follows to get me a javscript variable which holds the entire grid data at once:

when I submit this via a request to my server side via a form like so:

the data on my server side appears like this:

How to I rerieve the table data from these objects? I presume they are json objects being sent to my server side or am i wrong?

In my Struts2 Action class, I tried using:

but this throws an exception.

I appreciate any help on this on how to capture and deal with the entire grid data on the server side at once.
