jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hello All,

              I am using jqgrid My grid id is "searchResultGrid" and have following grid structure, 

colNames : [ 'id', 'Status', 'Action',],               

colModel : [

              {name : 'id',key : true,width : 5,align : 'center',hidden:true },

              {name : 'status',height : 10,width : 120,align : 'center'}, 

              {name : 'action',height : 10,width : 120,align : 'center', edittype:"checkbox", edittype:"checkbox",editoptions:                {value:'1:0'}, formatoptions:{disabled:false}}

              ],

 multiselect:false,

I am using json reader for grid data.All check boxes are enable by default. I want to disable check box when when status  is 0.

Can i do this from controller or should i do it on jsp (view) after data is loaded.

Please tell me How to do this ?
