I am trying to hshow/hide fields depending on add or edit with Navigator. Basically a password field.

using  $("#tr_password").hide();

works well but when set to true in the modal window, for modifying purposes, it stays true for next edits or adds

I am trying to hide it for edits by default and show it for adds. but as navigator buttons do not have IDs,  can't figure out how to trigger the event.

any idea ?

Hello,

use beforeShowForm - this can be defined separatley in edit or add.

In add make show in edit make hide.

Tony
