Tony,
Can I use my own form for Adding/Editing/Viewing a row? I learned the document /jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:form_editing&s[]=gridtoform and found that there was the same requirement at the last discussion. But I still don't know how to attach my own form. Can you help me? or give me an example?
Thanks.

Hello,
Define your custom button,
http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....om_buttons
And then you can use GridToForm and FormToGrid methods
http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....gridtoform
with your own ajax to posting

Tony: how one can manage the call to the server to force the DB update? I've been trying with many event, but couldn't hit the nail so far.
I've been able to create my custom form, but when I hit submit, no action is passed onto the server...
Any clue will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gabriel

Hello,
If you use custom Form, you will need to make your own ajax call to the server in order to update the DB
