Hi,
I would like to be able to "customize" the built-in form editor.
I need to:
1) Only display certian fields from the grid when Adding. (But post them alll back to the server)
2) Make some fields "disabled" or "Read-Only" when Editing.
3) Populate combo boxes on the fly in the form.
I looked at the "editGridRow" method, but I think that I need to build my own custom form to perform edits. I think that I could do this by using getGridParam('selrow') and editGridRow(gr, ...), but I'd like to use the navGrid buttons.
- Can I use the “Edit” button on the navGrid to call my form and suppress the auto generated form?
- Do I have access to the colModel? In particular the editable and editoptions properties?
I'm new to jQuery, so any example you could provide would be very helpful!
Thanks!
Dave

Hello Dave,
1. You can use addButtonNav (see docs) to add custom action
on the pager where onclick you can use your custom generated form.
2. Also please first read the docs. getColProp and setColProp will give
you the desired result.
Regards
Tony
