My situation: I am using jqgrid 3.5. And I also use the right Click menu integration that was also shown in 3.5 demo and on the integration page.

I want to give my users a hint by adding a help button (image) in the title bar. By clicking that I would then show a tooltip (e.g. cluetip plugin).

I would appreciate any hints that I could build on.

Thanx.

Hello,

I do not understand. Where do you want to put image in the grid title bar or in the menu which appear when you right click?

If this is in the menu plugin - please refere to the authors plugin page how to do this. There is such example.

Regards

Tony

Thanks for replying.

The button should be in the Grid title bar, to give the user all the info he needs to work with the grid including the menu. Of course I can put a link above the grid and make the information available that way, but I would prefer to have that button in the grid title bar, if that is possible. The main reason is of course that the grid is a new feature for the customers.

Hello,

You can put a toolbar after the caption and put here a button. See demos - custom toolbars. Another solution is just to set

caption: 'My caption ' +'<button .....>..</button>',

in the grid options and then attach a click action for this button.
