Having troubles with setCell using a button

Hi,

I am trying to use a button to change the value of a cell but it sends null to the server.

jQuery("#grid").jqGrid('navButtonAdd','#grid_nav',

{

caption: "Soft",

title: "Set Limit as Soft",

onClickButton : function ()

{

jQuery('#grid').jqGrid('setCell', r, c,'test',{'font-weight': '',color: 'blue','text- align':''});

}

});

if i check the response the variant_value=null when it should be test.

{"id":"49″,"criteria":"test","variant":"Owner","variant_value":null}

Another issue i have with cellEdit is if i change

jQuery('#grid').jqGrid('setCell', r, c,'test',{'font-weight': '',color: 'blue','text- align':''});

jQuery('#grid').jqGrid('setCell', r, c+1,'test');

so that it modifies the value in the next column it does not even make a call to the edit url.

Hello,

I think you have mixed setCell with cell editing - (editCell, saveCell, restorelCell..) There is a big difference on this.

Reading documentation first is a good practice
