The grid.locale-fr.js doesn't display words with accents for me. My HTML pages begin by:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" lang="fr" xml:lang="fr">
<head>
...
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-15" />
grid.locale-fr.js is probably coded for utf8: example
rulesText: " règles"
Who could test if the accents are correctly displayed ?
Or the file is correct and I must change something somewhere,
Or the file is not correct. In this case, if Tony want it, I can correct it and send it but I don't know the consequence with other charset.

Hello,
Evrething in jqGrid is utf-8. If you want this to be displayed correct you should crate another grid.loacale-xx.js file with ISO-8859-15 encoding.
Regards
Tony
