jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hi

Has anyone used getCol method successfully?

What I am trying to do is calculate Total on the client.  I was hoping I can just call

var invoiceColumn = jQuery("#list").getCol(2);

According to http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....ki:methods

The method return array with the values of the coulmn. colname can be either number which represents the index of the column or name from colModel.

But it always returns empty array in my case.
