I'm having an issue where the font size is not being calculated for proper widths and hieghts. I have a css rule:

*
{
    font-size      : 18px;
    text-transform : uppercase;
}

Which makes element look like they are too big to fit (cuts offs), what can I do to fix that, beside going back to a normal font size? (This is for an FOSS project I'm working on and want to make sure that older people can see it — trust me on this…)

2nd – how can I make the complete grid 100% width?
