Hello,
Did you see this behaviour in the demo? Do you have custom theme? Which version of jqGrid is used?
Regards
Tony

Tony, you identifed the problem--now can you provide a fix.
I wan to use the sunny theme. I get the theme with this order of stylesheets:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="JGrid/css/ui.jqgrid.css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="JQuery/themes/base/ui.all.css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="JQuery/css/sunny/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.css"/>
And the left edge of the first letter of words in the edit and add dialogs box is cut off.
If I put the ui.all.css last then I don't get the sunny theme, but the formatting is fine.
Do you have a suggestion other than modifying sunny?
Thanks much.
Bill

What is ui.all.css and what is jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.css - I think you should not use the ui.all.css
