Hi eveybody
I'm looking for a way to change dynamically the column model depending on a parameter sent from the server and encoded in json. More precisely, this parameters indicates the number of the columns to be displayed in the grid.
At the moment, I'm using this approach: I define a grid with a column model containing lot of columns, then I hide the redundant columns using hideCol witihin the event "loadComplete".
I was wondering if there's a more elegant way to do this...maybe I can first load data using a json request, parse the number of columns and then defining the column model with th right number of columns...in this case is there's a way to pass the available data to the grid without having it to load from the server?
Or is there another way to do the same thing?
Thanks in advance

OfflineHello,
Maybe you can use GridImport method where your colModel can be defined as JSON or xml
