Hi,
I might have missed it, but I can't seem to find out how to do this.
Basicly I have a couple of grids in Jquery UI tabs and I don't want them to load the data when the form loads, but instead I want to load the data when the user clicks the tab that contains the grid. I know how to load the grid via code, but not how to disable the autoloading of data in th form load.

Hi Tony,
I need the same thing, your suggestion on the "feature request" blog doesn't stop the search, which is my issue.
I have a master detail grid, and the detail grid trys to fill (calls the URL) before a row is selected in the master. I'm trying to force the detail to only load when forced by the master. Any ideas?
Would using a different URL work, and then changing the URL on-select?
thanks
Martin

Hello,
The solution is in the forum. Please search
Hint - load first the grid with datatype local and the use setGridParam to set it to joson or xml when needed with triggering the grid
Regards
Tony
