Tony,
In my grid I have some columns that could be hidden by users settings. I use the loadComplete:function() to hide or show the columns. This creates a flash on the screen as first the grid is displayed and then resizes based on columns bieng shown or hidden.
Is there a different event() to use or a way hide the grid until all of the columns are in place and then display the grid.

Hello,
Use gridComplete event instead of loadComplete - see docs.

Hello,
Maybe you should hide the col before sending the request - loadBeforeSend event maybe will do the job.
