What I mean is how to build a grid with the first row does not accept any edit and the others does?
Or, even better
How can I build a grid with selectable and non-selectable rows?

Well,
i manually set the columns to readonly, but if sb has a better way ...
for edit:
beforeShowForm: function (formid)
{
var state=$("#state",formid).val()
if (state!= 'Active')
{
//disable edit fields
$("#col1",formid).attr('readonly', true);
...
