Is there a way to set a default value for the inputs on the Add form?

I can see how to use it for the search and the editoption but it does not seem to work for the form. I have tried defval:'myval' but my text box is empty.

Have I missed seomething?

I found this on the wiki, not in the documention.

editoptions: {defaultValue:'aValue'}
