Hi,

I've got a datetime column in a 3.5 grid using cell editing. I'm trying to get validation happening and I have the following column definition:

{ name: "DTField", index: "DTField", label:"DTField", key: false, hidden: false, width: 140, sortable: true, datefmt:"dd/mm/yyyy H:i", resizable: true, editable: true, sorttype: "date", editrules:{required:true ,date:true}, formatter: "date", formatoptions:{mask: 'dd/mm/yyyy H:i'} , editoptions: { size: 20, dataInit: function(elem) { pickdatetime(elem,true); }} },

The part that doesn't work is the H:i bit. I can get this to work if I only have a date and I remove the H:i from the format and mask. My datetime picker is returning the date and time in a string of 27/08/2009 11:12 and that is getting rejected (error message comes up after edit) by the 'dd/mm/yyyy H:i' format.

Am I doing something wrong? I know I can remove the "date:true" param and then any datetime will be accepted, however I would really like to have the validation on.

Thanks,

Jo

Hello,

You do nothing wrong. The current date checking work only on date formats and not on datetime format.

Best Regards

Tony

Is DATETIME still not supported?

Is it likely to be in a future release? This could certainly be really useful for me.

Thanks.
